Computer Whiz!

Justin has been using the computer/keyboard since he was 17 months old. He loved punching in the keyboard and gradually he learned how to use 1 finger to press the key when he is playing with Fisher-Price online game. On the other hand, Rianna is not quite there yet but she does a lot of talking. When he press the letter 'A' Rianna says A. It is almost like Justin teaching her.

Here some pictures of Justin being computer whiz! And lastly what a silly face Rianna made to Mommy!

Twins' Group 1-Year Anniversary

A celebration with 1-Year Anniversary with "Two Times the Fun". It is amazing that we have gotten this FAR with 20 members and hope we will have MORE! A dinner at 'On the Border' Mexican Restaurant.

Early Intervention (EI)

From the time we found out we were expecting twins. I thought HOW will I be able to manage my twins' when they start talking? I have been teaching them sign language which help a lot so we can communicating to what their 'needs'.

We have decided that it was time for me to contact Early Intervention (EI). I want to make sure that I am doing a great job ensuring that they are getting the vocal exposure/stimulation they need with the tools/resources/support available.

We will be attending the 1st appointment next week 07/25th for paperwork and assessment. On our 2nd appointment we are to find out if they are 'on track'.

*1st/2nd appointments with EI is FREE for screening.

With us being a deaf parents in that situation at home may qualify them for 'needing' the program for environmental speech support. This is why I was concern in verifying that they are on the right track, speech-wise, would be easily justified as their goal as an organization is to prepare infants/toddlers/preschoolers to be successful when they enter the school district (so the school district isn't inundated with scores of unprepared kindergarteners/first graders for whom they do not have sufficient staffing resources to support getting them caught up to their school-ready classmates).

Honestly, I think all twins' Mom should be getting their twins' evaluated since most of us have preemies babies. It will take the worries away from you because the service is being offer.

They go by 'annual income' for family of 4. If the annual is at $39,000-41,000 your service fees per month is $10 and it goes up depending on the income of your family.

Twins' Playtime

Rianna and Justin has given up their 2nd nap. So I have set-up a playtime with the twins' group in the late afternoon. It was just the 6 of us that day at my house. Rianna and Justin interact really well with their friend Ava and Landen (Mommy is Christine).

The ABCs

At 21 months old --
When Daddy came home from work today. We were playing around with the kids. Justin happened to sit in my lap on the rocker. John listened carefully (turned down the volume on TV) and heard Justin was singing ABCDEFHIJK. He didn't finish the rest because he was trying to remember what the next letter would be. I am so proud of Justin wanting to learn the ABCs and hope he finish it all by the time he turns the big '2'.

Forth of July Weekend

This year we had such a blast time because the kids are a bit older now (21 mos old). They were in awe when they saw the fireworks in the sky. Rianna kept saying, 'Wow' and Justin was pointing at the colorful sky. This vacation has been the easiest which surprised us!

About Rianna's tooth cut

We were VERY surprised that through all of their tooth cuts they never show any signs of fussiness or crabby. We just noticed an increased putting stuff in her mouth. Rianna had 4 tooth cut broke through all at once. She now only need her last set of 2nd molars in the back (all four of them)!
