First Words and Signs

Justin finally hand sign by saying Bye Bye to Dada off to work! And Rianna said a new word with "Rock-Bye-Baby".

If you’d asked me whether I thought they’ll be early talker. I would have to say yes because between thirteen and fourteen months. Rianna would say Dada or Mama and Justin would say number (One and Two). And everything else is bye-bye, cat, ball, rock-bye baby, shoes, and yay. They both call us either Mama or Dada.
They get really excited to see Dada when he steps in the door from work. You could actually see John’s heart melting into a puddle of goo.

I am absolutely certain that they are developing normally. It’s just that I noticed during the day Justin is attempting to say a few words that I cannot fathom what he was trying to say as a deaf Mom. It often breaks my heart that I cannot hear their voice. And yet, so little progress has been made. I know most toddlers don’t have a real vocabulary expression until at least 18 months, but geez. It seems like it will be forever before Rianna and Justin lets me know what exactly what they are requesting without having me offer them sixteen different things, all of which they shoves away angrily until I produce the thing they wants, which is when he miraculously transforms back into a little ray of sunshine. And I know it must be as frustrating for them as it is for me.

Rianna and Justin has not really form any signs since I have been teaching them one word at a time “milk” at 3 months old. They have not yet shown any interest with signing. They don't know that their Mama is deaf or has noticed anything different about me yet.
