Official Potty Trained for Rianna

I knew time was coming that she is ready for potty training. I decided to go cold turkey with no pull up on her. She continues to wet her underwears for the first few days. She finally 'get it' that she does not want to do that again. So, she has been running to the bathroom pulling down her pant/underwears to go pee or even poo. The other advice is to stay home at least for 2 week to make sure she is ready to leave the house. Also, a friend of mine gave me a tip to leave the potty chair in the bedroom. I was going to inclined because I wasn't sure if Justin understood that this was not a 'toy' to play with. So I kept going in there at night time to check to see if she need to potty. I decided right then -- move the potty chair in the bedroom. She was able to climb out of bed and go potty in the chair in the middle of the night. She has been accidently-free since she turned '3'. I can't believe my little girl is growing up!

3rd Birthday Theme

I have decided to do the Monkey See & Monkey Do which is a perfect fitting for their 3rd birthday. The color scheme is aqua blue, yellow, brown, and green. I cannot wait to see our beautiful 2-tier cake and the cupcakes! I met Amanda 3 years ago when she just started her newly cake business. Her business is taking off because of me as all of my friends' now going to her for their children's birthday cake.

1st birthday cake with Minnie and Mickey Mouse

Updated on Potty Training!

Rianna is doing really good with going potty at home. She stay dried in her underwear all day and even have gone poopy in the toliet. We're getting there with it but we need to practice on having her stay dried when we leave the house. As for Justin has been a 'trying time' but he knows what he need to do when he is ready.

The FInal IEP Meeting/School District

Justin had his final IEP meeting with his caseworker (Sheena) and his speech theapry (Sue) to go over the final report since 18 months old with IEP services. We have been going to the 'assessment meeting' with the school district through Bonnie MacBeth in Plainfield. The school district had made a final decision that he does not qualified for special education program. However, he is able to go to preschool for 6-week for further evaluation.
Justin will begin preschool on October 1st for 2 days a week from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. And then we will have another meeting at the end of his 6-week program. We really don't know what the outcome willl be for us. He still have struggle because he does have good and bad days.
For example; Last week with Sue he grunt and pointed at the kitchen area. Sue asked him can you tell me what you want? Say the word? He grunt and pointed again. Sue asked Justin come and show me what you want? We proceed to the kitchen and then suddenly he just dismissed what he was trying to say....and you could tell he was confused!
He has been saying the 3-sentence phases but hadn't been able to communicate in longer utterances and his pronunciation isn't clear at times.
But the good news......Lately, he has been FINALLY responding to us with a Yes or No by moving his head when we ask him if he want this or that. In the past he hasn't been able to say Yes or No or even responded to us. We were always second guessing him!
I know people has been telling us he may be one of the late talker which is what we are hoping for between 3-4 years old. I do hope in time he would talk just like his sister does!
Our goal--
Getting him to talk verbally back and forth in conversation
Gettting him to remember what he did that day or remember what he like
Getting him to ask what he want to do
Getting him to stay with his eye contact when we talk to him
Getting him to

Cute Conversation with Rianna

Rianna told us that she wanted to go to Papa's house and bring all of her toys over there. She impressed us in the last few months with cute sentences phases. I have to start writing them down so I can save some of those cute conversations.

The Very First Babysitting

It was the FIRST that John and I finally had a chance to go out on a date night to our friend's cookout. Papa has a chance to come out and watch the kids for that evening. And this is what we get to see when we arrived home. They refused to go to their own bed! I think it is because they prefer only Mommy & Daddy put them in bed.
